Kuwait - Mubasher: The financial statements of Soor Fuel Marketing reported a decline in profits by 6.4% year-on-year for the second quarter of 2017, according to a bourse filing.

The company said in a statement to Boursa Kuwait on Monday that profits totalled KWD 1.17 million ($3.88 million) in Q2-17 compared to KWD 1.25 million ($4.15 million) during the same period of last year.

As for the first half of the year, profits decreased by 2.5% and reached KWD 2.39 million, down from KWD 2.45 million in H1-16.

Soor attributed the retreat in profits to the rise in operational costs.
